FGBA staff will no longer give out donor
information by phone or email,
including next donation date. Reason: Due to recent federal regulations
governing privacy and the confidential nature of health-related information
(HIPAA), we are no longer allowed to give ANY information out over the
phone. However, there are several avenues available to donors to retrieve
their own information:
- By phone: Dial
353-0040 or 1-888-447-1479, and enter extension 2450. By using some
combination of your social security number, birth date, and/or Donor
Identification number (DID), you may access information about previous
donations, including the next date you are eligible. Follow the recorded
instructions.
-
Via our website (www.igiveblood.com),
you may access your information using your Donor Identification number
and social security number.
Your Donor
Identification number is printed both on your donor ID card (sent to you by
mail) and on the tear-away portion of your donor record card given to you at
each donation. If you do not have or remember your Donor Identification
number, you may stop by any of our branches to request it. Simply present a
photo ID to the staff, and your record will be searched in the computer and
your Donor Identification number given to you on a business sized card that
provides the access information listed above. You may then access your donor
information by one of these methods.
